i think that it might be near a Cathedral and a building.
ReplyDeleteMahattan New York had the most world famous juggler. Also, the old twin towers were in Manhattan, New York. Next, there is a seagull, placing the treasure near Manhattan Bay. Further, it is near a library, which is shown in her cloak. Brad Yetter
ReplyDeleteMilwaukee City hall fits the outline in the background
ReplyDeleteThe flower being juggled looks to be the Idaho state flower. 5 pedals with a shade of yellow.
ReplyDeleteThe edge of the Jugglers cloak could be coastline or the shape of a mountain range from a specific spot or similiar type of feature
ReplyDeleteMitchell is a VERY prominent name in Milwaukee. Mitchell Street is a main street and we have General Mitchell International Airport. There's also a very beautiful old building downtown call the "Mitchell Building". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitchell_Building
ReplyDeleteThe building outline is indeed Milwaukee City Hall when looking at it facing south. The Mitchell Building is on the same road just south of Milwaukee City Hall.
As for "the beating of the world", this might be a stretch, but not far from both City Hall and the Mitchell Building is where the old Schlitz brewery used to be which had the world/globe as its logo. Schlitz is also significant because it is shown in Laverne and Shirley, the most widely known pop culture reference to Milwaukee at the time.
I'm not sure of what the woman with a harpsicord is, but the 92 steps could be a reference to the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum which probably is the largest amount of outdoor steps in Milwaukee since most everything else is fairly flat.
"Pass the compass" could then refer to the North Point Water Tower which is nearby and one of the more well known beautiful historic buildings and compasses always point north.
If you continue going northeast from the aforementioned Villa Terrace past the North Point Water Tower, you will eventually reach Lake Park where there is a historic bridge that I would not be surprised if it had a culvert underneath.
100 paces southeast of the bridge is a trailhead for the Oak Leaf Trail which does eventually go west.
Not sure where to go from there. The cape, though, could represent the Lake Michigan shoreline, which is to the east, though Milwaukee Bay caves in so the line would need to be flipped horizontally and vertically.
Anyways, yeah, kinda exciting to have this sort of thing in your hometown!
The flower is the Cherokee Rose, state flower of Georgia. Look at the shapes in the cloak which. is blowing / Gone With the Wind.Nothing to do with Milwaukee.
ReplyDeleteThe area is McCall Idaho. It is spelled out in the painting as McCall . The county is pictured in the hand . City has a cathedral that is outlined at top on left .
ReplyDeleteSince Wisconsin is the Dairy State, perhaps the yellow flower is a BUTTERcup.
